Cherry Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c of cherries (dried)
1/2 c of rum
2-1/2 c of cream (light)
1/2 c of sugar (refined)
4 pcs of egg yolks
1/4 tsp of vanilla
Instructions:
Cover rum on cherries then soak them for hours (or overnight). Heat sugar and cream till sugar has dissolved then bubbles start forming around the edge. Beat the yolks till creamy then pour in (1/2 cup) hot cream.
Pour heatened yolks mixture back onto the half and half then continue cooking till thickened. Don’t let it boil. Add vanilla and stir thoroughly. Let it cool thoroughly and refrigerate till chilled.
Pour onto the (ice cream) maker then freeze. Drain cherries then add onto the freezing mixture when mixture starts to become thick. Continue to freeze.
