1. In 400s Before Christ (B.C), people at this period had started scooping this chilled dessert. The Persian Royalty enjoyed the mixture of snow or ice blended with fresh fruits and flavors.
2. In between the years of 356 to 323 Before Christ (B.C)., The famous and great Alexander of Macedon also became popular for he loved and enjoyed scooping up snow combined with a bit of nectar and honey.
3. In 54 to 68 Anno Domini (A.D), the powerful and famous emperor of Rome, Nero used to have either ice or snow brought from hills by his slaves. This Roman ruler was very strict and passionate about having this most desired dessert.
In fact, workers will be executed when they brought him melted snow or ice. Nero even had a storage rooms constructed under his kingdom so he could keep all the ice/snow that his slaves gave him. Nero preferred to mix fruit juices in his snow.
4. In the year 1500s, rulers of India (Mughal’s) used to direct their horsemen to transport them snow/ice. The huge amounts of ice were then combined with fresh fruits and turned into sorbets.
5. King Henry II of France married an Italian lass named Catherine de’ Medici. In the year 1533, Catherine took along some chefs who made her some special sorbets. Because of this, France had started to create great sorbet because of their skills in creating flavored ice. From here, it was assumed that France started making ice cream/sorbet then it expanded in Italy.
6. Another popular ruler who enjoyed this chilled dessert was King Charles I. This popular king in England loved this chilled dessert. He wanted to keep it a royal dessert so he bribed the chefs for them to keep it secret but when he died, then of course the recipes were spread everywhere

Cone’s origin, is similar to ice cream/sorbet, is bounded by several disputes. However, here are some details as to the origin of cone.
In year 1896, Italo Marchiony was believed to have invented the cone. He discovered a menu which was created to hold the chilled treat. However, many were not convinced that this menu was actually the cone.
Another person who claimed to have discovered cone was D. Avayou. He wanted commendation for creating the so called cone which was used during World Fair in year 1904 held at Saint Louis. That time, he witnessed how ice cream/sorbet was served using cups made of paper.
Other claimants were C. Menches and Ernest Hamwi who were also given commendations by historians.
