Hazelnut Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of hazelnuts
3/4 c of sugar
1 & 1/2 tsps of extract (vanilla)
4 c of cream (light)
3 eggyolks
Instructions:
Prepare your oven. Heat it to three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Put hazelnuts in flat bake sheet then have them baked for about 15 mins. Cover & stand nuts for another 15 mns.
Wrap your hazelnuts w/ towel then rub vigorously to totally loosen skins. Completely cool. Place in processor then pulse ’til ground finely. Set it aside.
Have your cream scalded in saucepan. You whisk sugar and yolks in another bowl. Pour the heated cream gradually while whisking.
Put mixture back into saucepan, stirring over mid-heat ’til custard is thick and would leave an indention at behind a spoon once you slide your fingers across. Avoid letting mixture reach into a boil.
You remove pan from direct heat then add vanilla in. You strain this mixture in separate bowl then have it covered and refrigerated.
Transfer mixture into ice-cream maker then add your nuts. Freeze following manufacturer’s directions.
