Strawberry Ice Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Angel Food Cake prepared
1/2 gallon strawberry ice cream
2 c of strawberries (very ripe); stemmed and sliced
1/4 c of sugar (refined)
Juice from 1/2 pc of lemon
1 c of cream (whipping)
1 c of cream (table)
4 pcs of egg yolks
1/2 c of sugar (white)

Instructions:

Coat the strawberries with juice and quarter cup of sugar; stir thoroughly then let it sit, about one hr. Beat the yolks and add sugar while beating continuously. Heat the creams till steaming then add onto the egg mixture. Let it cool.

Mash the strawberries then add onto the cooled mixture; stir thoroughly. Freeze inside the (ice cream) maker.

Break up cake into 2 inch pieces and put in a large mixing bowl. Add ice cream. Pour (spoon) into tube pan and freeze.
To serve: Place pan in warm water for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
