Sugar-Free Ice Cream Base Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp of gelatin (plain)
1-1/2 c milk (low fat)
3-1/2 tsps of sweetener (NutraSweet)
2 Tbsps of nonfat milk (dry)
1-1/2 c of buttermilk
1/8 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Soften the plain with (1/2 cup) milk then heat on a saucepan till it dissolves. Take out from the heat and add the sweetener; stir thoroughly.
Place the saucepan on a bowl with ice or very cold water till it cools (at room temperature). Pour onto the processor then add remaining milk, buttermilk, and salt; blend till smooth.
Refrigerate till chilled. Blend mixture for some seconds then transfer on the (ice cream) maker and freeze.
