Vanilla Velvet Recipe
Ingredients:
6 pieces of egg yolks (fresh)
3/4 cups of sugar (refined)
1-1/4 cups of milk
1-1/4 cups of cream (heavy)
1-1/2 pieces of beans (vanilla, large); splitted
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Salt (to taste)
Instructions:
Combine sugar and yolks; beat thoroughly till creamy, light, and thick. Combine cream and milk on a microwave safe casserole then scrape vanilla seeds onto the casserole and add beans, vanilla extract then salt.
Microwave for three mins at high setting. Take the (vanilla) beans out. Beat gently then gradually add mixture of milk onto mixture of yolks, stir thoroughly till smooth.
Place them back on the casserole and microwave for 3-1/2 mins, letting it thicken, don’t overcook.
Let it cool thoroughly then place inside the refrigerator, covered loosely, till chilled or about 3-4 hrs. Freeze inside the (ice cream) maker.
